Talking About: Nigerian referees OK'd to take bribes - Peculiar Postings - MSNBC.com
"Bribery is a crime implying a sum or gift given alters the behaviour of the person in ways not consistent with the duties of that person. It is defined by Black's Law Dictionary as the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions as an official or other person in discharge of a public or legal duty. The bribe is the gift bestowed to influence the receiver's conduct. It may be any money, good, right in action, property, preferment, privilege, emolument, object of value, advantage, or any promise or undertaking to induce or influence the action, vote, or influence of a person in an official or public capacity.
It is a form of political corruption and is generally considered unethical. In most jurisdictions it is illegal, or at least cause for sanctions from one's employer or professional organization." - Taken without permission from Wikipedia.
It should be noted that in most cases where a bribe is accepted but "bribe-ee" does not comply with the conditions set forth by the "bribe-or," someone's legs get broken.

Oh, Canada! Anderson fights for baby seals - Gossip: The Scoop - MSNBC.com
PETA needs to re-think who they have as Celebrity Spokespeople. Wanting everyone in the world to confrom to their "animals first" agenda, Peta shouldn't be happy with carreer choices of Pamela Anderson. Let's take a look at a few of her acitivites (nothing inappropriate, I promise) and see how "animal friendly" they all are.
- TV/Cinema/DVD/VHS Movies: Well, in order for any movie to be made these days, you have to use film. Film is made up of celluloid nitrates, polyester, and a couple other compounds. But if you mix that stuff up in a bowl in your kitchen (not recommended kids) it won't turn into film. No, you have to have GELATIN to make it harden into the thin, transparent, flexibile genious, that is Photographic Film. So what you ask? Gelatin is created by prolonged boiling of animal skin, connective tissue, or bones. It is used in Film, Foods, Medicine, Vitamins, Candy, etc. It's all over the place - and PETA stands against it's creation process.
-Writing: It seems Anderson has fancied herself a writer now. Albeit, not a very great one, but a writer nontheless. I don't know where you get your books, but the ones I buy are held together by a little classroom friendly substance called, GLUE. This is historically referred to as protien colloids prepared from animal tissues. You guessed it, PETA stands against this as well.
- M.A.C. Aids Fund: Wait! Why should PETA be upet with Anderson's involvment with the make-up giant, M.A.C? They don't do any animal testing, nor do they use animal bi-products in their merchandise. True. Pamela Anderson has teamed up with M.A.C to help raise a substantial amount of money to go towards Aids awareness/research and treatment. Let's take a look at the FDA approved drugs used in the treatment of HIV Infection. All of the manufacturers listed used animal testing as their primary resource for study on these medications. PETA would rather that testing be done on humans, or not at all.
PETA, Pamela Anderson is an animal serial killer. Her job alone has been the cause for countless deaths and animal slaughterings. Picket her house, funnle money to exremists to fire bomb her production studio, whatever it takes, just don't let her get away this.

Ok, this is just plain retarded. The organization known as "The Way to Happiness Foundation International," has long since taken on the task of bringing peace to the Israelies and Palestinians. Well, it's about damn time somebody did something over there. Oh wait - they're handing out little booklets. NOt just any booklet mind you. Nay, a booklet filled with important knowledge and tools that help you survive in this world of chaos and at the same time help you be happier.
TWTH booklet
This book contains such advice as:
- Eat well
- Brush your teeth
- Don't murder people
- Try to treat others the way you would want to be treated.
Well, why didn't we all think of that a hundred years ago?! IT seems so simple - it can't possibly be working. . .can not it? Scrolling on the MIddle East update page reveals a graph that show undeniable altered statisticals trends showing how the massive pamphlet efforts have dramitically influenced the peace process. And there you have it. Who do we have to thank for this amazing revelation?? Well, let me save you the time of searching for the fine print. Here is what you will find at the very bottom of the Way to Happiness website.

Gee, what do you know? Another amazing sect of the Church of Scientology. There's more out there people. . .they're everywhere.

Customer service must have been costing Walmart too much money. I have to assume that in order to keep the prices so low at this gigantic retailer, they must keep all costs and expenses to a minimal wherever possible. With that in mind, customer service had to be costing them the most - because they've cut all customer service concepts from every Walmart I've ever been to.
Just this morning I rushed into my local demonic Walmart store and was greeted by the usual old person who stands by the door handing out stickers to children and smiles to people too depressed to actually have a reason or need to come into this store (mine is becuase my son's special formula at$23.52 per can is still $3 cheaper here) to smile back. I found my item with great speed and checked out all within 7 minutes. Aproaching the exit, I notice the friendly old person standing between me and the door. Can she not tell I am walking with great force and determination? I have a reciept clenched in my fist and a single can of formula dangling inside a propaganda covered bag in my other.
"Can I take a look at your reciept?" said Old Lady.
What!? I couldn't believe it. This isn't Costco, okay! I pay good money for my Costco membership and thereby have to follow their rules regulations to keep that membership. One of them being stopped at the door to verify the reciept. (Actually, my work gives me my membership for free, but I digress.) What right does Walmart have to automatically assume I'm planning on stealing something? She didn't even look in the bag; just the paper. I could've easily have stuck 5 Kit-Kats in that bag and she wouldnt have even seen.
I'm so frusterated just typing about this that I can't even remember how I was going to wrap this all up. I guess the point is this :
If you want everything you need in your life to be available in one place, and you want that place to have the lowest possible prices, then you should also expect that place to spend no resources on Customer Service. Walmart knows why you're there, and they know it's not becuase of your pleasant experiance. It's because of the low price, and that's the point.
Is Tom Cruise taking on South Park MSNBC.com
Tom Cruise is really pissing me off. I've already discussed my discontent for Scientology, for Isaac Haye's ass backward logic, and Tom Cruise in general. The Cult has taken this to a whole new personal level. They are attacking MY South Park. My show. Mine. Has any follower of any other religion used their "sway" in Hollywood to remove an eniter episode of this show from ever re-running? No! This is the only one! Tom, stop being a baby. Stop being wierd, stop talking about psychology, being in love, Katie, your cult, and just make movies, cash your check, GET OUT OF THAT CLOSET, and shut the hell up!
Needless to say, I will not be seeing Mission: Impossible III.
Man sues himself for vehicle damage - Peculiar Postings - MSNBC.com
Yeah! That's what I like to read about. I can't put my finger on why, but I find this story so compelling and inspirational. The next time I'm late to work, I'm going to take a stand. . .against me!
"Hey, screw. . .Me. That's right, I said it. You want a piece of this, Me? I don't think so. I'm going to sue me so fast and hard I'll think I'm wondering around lost in the National Porn Convention."
I can't just keep letting Me get away with costing Me this valuable time and money. I want Me to compensate Me for that lost income, and believe me, Me, it's a lot. Don't think I'm letting Me off the hook on the my attourney fees either. No sir, I'll be sure to make Me pay me for all of those as well.
Thank you, Man who tried to sue yourself for damaging your own vehicle, you've changed my life and the way I look at the world forever.
Scientologist Isaac Hayes quits South Park - Television - MSNBC.com

Scientology maintains that you can be ANY religion and still practice Scientology without contradicting your "other" religion's doctrine. However, any deeper study will reflect the opposite.
Scientology believes that an alien overlord sent a bunch of deviant aliens' souls to earth when it was vacant and tried to brainwash them by forcing them to watch movies. These movies were depicting a 'fake' history of events. Inlcuded in them is EVERYTHING that ever happened since the dawn of man. So no matter what your belief; Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Islam, Buddhist, etc - Scientology claims it never happened. That's it. Case closed. You're wrong, that never happened.
“Religious beliefs are sacred to people, and at all times should be
respected and honored,” Hayes says -and continued. “As a civil rights
activist of the past 40 years, I cannot support a show that disrespects those
beliefs and practices.”
HA! Scientologies entire doctrine disrepects EVERYONE elses beliefs and practices, and therefore, does not respect or honor them. If by not holding true to his now stated moral stance on this subject forced him to quit working for South Park and it's creators, than he shouldn't also quit Scientology?
Watch This!
Things don’t always work out the way we want them to, or the way we think they will. Sometimes we don’t even see it coming. We get hit with some form of pain out of nowhere leaving us feeling desperate and helpless. That’s the way life is. Still, it makes us wonder how God can let these things happen to us. How God can just stand by and watch us suffer. Where is God when it really hurts? Maybe God is actually closer to us than we think. Maybe it’s when we’re in these situations, where everything seems to be falling apart, that God gets an opportunity to remind us of how much he really loves us.
I consider Scientology to operate much like Amway or Excell. The differing point however, is that Scientology boasts itself as a religion and in doing such, gains loyalty, trust, devotion, and DEPENDANCE from its followers.
There are several articles, documents from Hubbard himself, regarding how to handle people who are critical of their belief, or who defect from the church. After reading some of them (links below) I think anyone would agree that it's no different than Bin Laden teaching his followers to declare Jihad on anyone who opposes their God. The truth is, that other countries have waged a war against this cult recognizing it for what it is and how infectious it is. Leave it to good ol' American government and political policy to provide a safe haven for any random Meglomaniac like Hubbard to form a pseudo-religion and make a ton of money.
Mr. Tom Cruise, the only "body-thetan" attached to your back is Satan. I pray that all Scientologists discover this truth for themselves, and learn that the only true Auditor is Christ. The God of Israel has been around FOREVER and will continue to exist beyond what we can comprehend. L. Ron Hubbard was around from 1911 - 1985. Hundreds of years from now (if his name is even recognized then) his entire life's work will only be remembered as the dash between those two dates.
In this fire we call life, Scientology is merely a small bon-fire that stays just hot enough when you stir it, to stay lit. If by chance, someone who belongs to Scientology is reading this, know this:
You Are God's Favorite Child. His Son, Jesus Christ, is waiting to offer you so much more than all the auditings, books, and courses money can buy and His Gift is Free, requires NOTHING from you other than accepting it, and lasts FOREVER.
Amen
Scientology's "Fair Game" Policy (might have to copy and pate)http://www.xenu.net/fairgame-e.html
I have to come clean on a few things here. I hope nobody minds. I'm a Christ Follower. I think that much might be clear from my page. And like many Christians, I too would like to see less X-Mas, Happy Holidays, etc and less emphasis on Santa, and trees, and candy, ad nausium. And yet, I find find myself differing in the methods being used to try to make these changes. I think, more specifically, I'm frusterated in the tone, and actions of the prominent conservatives (whoever those people are). I would like to take a moment to address my fellow brothers in Christ.
The Bush Administration sends you a card that says, Happy Holidays. Why make public statements like, "(the administration) have capitulated to the worst elements in our culture,"? Or even worse, "I threw out my White House card as soon as I got it." Non-believers are so confused by this and to be honest with you, so am I. You see, while we're supposed to be standing up for what we believe we are almost called to Love everyone. Even our enemies! When you speak out in these accusitory tones and loud ways, you and I are getting painted with the same brush. So I have to ask you to knock it off.
"If you confuse others by making a big issue over what they eat or don't eat, you're no longer a companion with them in love, are you? These, remember, are persons for whom Christ died. Would you risk sending them to hell over an item in their diet?" Romans 14:14-16
The apostle Paul wasn't meerely talking about eating out with friends. What happens if you replace eating with Christmas Card Headings? Or parenting? Or what kind of music/ movies are ok towatch?
Paul then continues his exhortation in Romans 14:21, that your primary concern should be nothing but to share the life of Jesus. Also, to not say or do things that might interfere with the free exchange of love.
Do you think it would be possible that we try acting out in love and consideration when acting of behalf of Jesus? That is, after all, what He would do.
Most people are willing to accept Jesus Christ as a great moral teacher, prophet, heck maybe even call him a messiah. But when it comes to crediting Him as God incarnate, and accepting His death and ressurection as the one true path to forgiveness and salvation, a line is drawn.
The Gospels record that Jesus made many claims to divinity, either explicitly ("I and the father are one." — John 10:30*) or implicitly, by assuming authority only God could have ("…the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins…" — Matthew 9:6*). There are MANY other references from Jesus' words and actions - feel free to read through the Gospels and investigate. Keeping this in mind, one of the three following must be true:
1. Jesus was telling falsehoods and knew it, and so he was a liar.
2. Jesus was telling falsehoods but believed he was telling the truth, and so he was insane.
3. Jesus was telling the truth, and so he was divine.
You cannot argue Jesus was merely a great moral teacher because his moral teachings would be invalidated either by his lying or his insanity. On the other hand, if number three is correct, he must clearly be what He claims to be.

The word holiday has related but different meanings in English-speaking countries. Based on the Old English words holy and day (halig dæg), holidays originally represented special religious days. The word has evolved in general usage to mean any special day.
Hey, let's face it. If Christmas isn't a Halig Daeg (holy day) then it would be reduced to one big climax after a month long consumer orgy.
The Way of Love
"If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love."
The above was a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Corinth. I read this last night and realized how blessed my life is for just for having this woman apart of it. You see, the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT COMMAND in the bible for us all to live and strive for - is to love others. Becuase of that woman up there, I have purpose, meaning, and get to experience what life has to offer when you love someone completely - and are loved completely in return.
So, here in the middle of the Blogosphere, I would like to wish her a happy Valentines Day. And let her know that if not for her in my life - I would be nothing. And may everyone who reads this find or appreciate real Love like I do.
Happy Valentines Day, Honey! I Love YOU!
