Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are hot. Really hot. I get that. She wants to help ravaged third world countries and he wants help ravaged plummeting box office sales. Both of these are noble causes, mind you. Who was that person Brad used to be married to? Oh yeah, Jennifer Aniston.
Try to follow me on this now, I'll explain it nice and clear. According to Camp Brangelina, the following are not to be accepted as truth:
- Brad Pitt cheated on his wife with Angelina Jolie while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
- After a sudden "parting of ways" from his marriage with Jennifer Aniston, Brad was still seeingAngelina.
- In the months to follow, extensive media coverage and public sightings together support the rumors that Brad and Angelina were still dating.
- Angelina becomes pregnant with Brad's baby.
- Brad and Angelina travel to Africa where they stay until she delivers her baby via C-Section.
Well, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and would in this case if not for the fact that the last two statements are verifiably true. These two facts also completely support the case that all the statements preceeding them are facts as well.
Let us not lose sight that the true sad sad story here is that of baby Shilo Nouvel Joulie-Pitt. Who, aside from facing a long acedemic future of being made fun of relentlesy, will also be forever remembered as the homewrecking icon bastard child of the media machine that is. Brangelina. Good luck, Shilo. Good luck.
Generally speaking, when a person considers themself spiritual (but NOT religious), believes in the healing energies of crystals, is pretty sure there is some sort of Higher Power, bases responsible/ life changing descision making off of the outcome of laying down painted cards, or astronomical events, that said person is considered to be a "New-Ager." The term New Age refers, in most cases, to themes and practices of the occult; i.e. Tarot Cards, tea leaves, magick, witchcraft, etc. These concepts and practices are actually NOT new in anyway. They have just made-over and repackaged as something more marketable directed at a focus group of people looking for answers in their life.
"So what the heck are Lohasions," you ask? It is a term derived from an acronym created by marketers on the West Coast—LOHAS, as in Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability. There is an actuall marketing group called the Natural Marketing Institute who have recently held a LOHAS convention and have determined that 17% of the U.S. are Lohasions.
Growing up, I fell into this category. I was given the freedom from my parents to explore spiritual truths about life and, of course, found them in the same things my own mother did. I "read" tarot cards, practiced meditation, dabbled in I Ching, Buddishm, Taoism, and even Wicca. I never would have considered myself a New-Ager, however. No, I thought of myself as spiritually liberated and ahead of the curve. Not tied down to restrictive oppressing dogmas that organized religion had to offer.
I've left all those "truths" behind. I traded them for the one thing that made the least sense of them all. A man who claimed to be the son of God, who died on a cross, and who's followers went to their own deaths under testimony that he rose from the dead. Obviously, I'm talking about Jesus. If you are reading this, and you yourself are into the New Age scene, or Lohasion movement, or Occult practices, check Jesus out. If you're really looking for truths in life that feel right in your gut, then check Jesus out. Curious? Want to at least see if I'm wrong? go here for The Question and the Answer.
"This kind of woman wreaks an enormous sin upon the Kabbalah.” Rabbi Yisrael Deri, caretaker of Luria’s tomb.
I have incorrectly assumed that Madonna has matured spiritually since her devotion to Kabbalah has become the sole driving purpose in her life. The material girl decided to return to her ways of shocking audiences with blasphemous imagery and wanton disregard for sacred themes.
Madonna has publicly criticized celebrities for following her belief system based on it's fashionable trendiness alone. If the superstar would-be rabbi wants to support her claims that she is a deeply commitmeted follower, it would serve her well to treat others' beliefs with a certain level of respect and/or tolerance. After all, she's not just in it for the fame anymore. . .right?
An Open Letter to Pat Robertson
Ku Ku Kachoo Mr. Robertson,
Please, just stop. I believe that in your heart you have genuine and sincere love for Jesus Christ. But I also believe that your perseption of how He loves you is slightly ascew.
You see, Jesus was very clear that when we address others about the sin and junk in they're lives, that we first examine ourselves very closely. He goes on to tell us that we must also do this out of love.
If you still have a question as to what exactly Love is, Paul described it perfectly in 1 Corinthians 13:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
Please keep these attributes in mind before speaking truth to peoples lives. Remember, our Lord wants us to reach others with a message. If we throw out messages that feel like yours do, then we are missing the mark drastically.
Let's get serious Pat, did you honestly believe that by prophesing about God sending storms and tsunamis to our country, you would be helping the lost change their ways? You had to realize that a message like yours will be recieved with defenses raised and feelings hurt. If not, then that would just be painting yourself as an ignorant bigeted stereotypical fundamentalist.
Unfortunately, sending out those messages as though you are the mouthpiece of God makes it very difficult for me to succesfully reach out to others, too. You see, you and I get painted with the same brush and I don't look to good in yellow. So please, for God's sake, just stop.
Sincerely,
Chase

The verdict is in for Moussaoui, and he will NOT be getting the death penalty, but instead will recieve life in prison. Who called it? Me. That's Mr. Mousse-guy, no island paradise filled with virgins for you. Rather, you're stuck with a lifetime of sexually experienced inmates who love tan men. Now that's Justice!
You see, this is ultmitaley why having multiple wives is a BAD BAD idea. The even sadder truth is, that while a good defense attourney in the U.S. might have been able to save her from conviction or at least a lighter sentance given the circumstance. In Pakistan, she's likely to be given the death sentance. Don't get me wrong, murder itself is BAD BAD idea and very wrong, I just find it interesting that different forms of human dealt justice can differ so much depending on geography.

Cult News from Rick Ross , Janeanne Garofalo goes gonzo promoting Scientology-linked program:
What am I to do? Gone are the days when I watched you on tv next to Andy Dick and Ben Stiller. Your smug sarcastic tone daring us not to laugh. You were my favorite female comedic celebrity, Janeanne. Always my "go-to" on Myspace surveys that asked for "Fav Female Celeb." Sadly that space is now left blank because you have allowed yourself to fall into the snares of ScientologyTM!
How did this happen? You've always come across as a well read sarcastic critic. How did you miss such an opporunity to scrutinize as this?
A member of "The Church of ScientologyTM" sets up a "detoxification program" in NYC in the wake of 9/11. Service men and women who have been exposed to Mr. Yuk type particles in the air sign up for the program for free (usually costs church memebers around $5k.) They are given a regime of Vitamin oil and Niacin, and then spend a great number of hours in a sauna. Oddly enough, the practice is not only NOT considered scientific or beneficial in any way by any medical association, but IS considered dangerous by most.
Red and Blue aside, Ms. Garofalo, please look into this mroe carefully. It's dangerous road you're treading on and in your quest to be as liberal as possible and express the need for freedom for everyone, you may find yourself ensared in the most bonding, suppressive organization I've ever read about.
