The best thing about getting your child a new awesome toy that they want to spend every second of the day with is the leverage it gives you to bend their will as you please.
This also works with a fun event on the calendar. Sometimes I'll even plan a day to Charlie Safari just so I can keep using the "I guess you just won't go to Charlie Safari next week" line. As long as I plan for it to be unachievable, I'll never have to worry about actually following through.
Welcome to my website.
I like to write humorously about my life as a dad, a husband, having a child with autism, and other unrelated non-sequitors. So that pretty much covers everything. Hope that inspires you to, you know, subscribe.
